THREE people including a young boy were found shot dead in a home near Toowoomba last night.
A relative of the dead trio, which also included a middle-aged man and a woman in her 20s, made the gruesome discovery at the property at Biddeston early yesterday evening.
Last night police quizzed distressed relatives and friends of the victims at the scene.
It is understood all of the victims died of gunshot wounds.

Police rushed to the scene about 7.20pm after the alarm was raised.
Early investigations last night were looking into the possibility of a murder-suicide.
As stunned neighbours gathered at the scene, detectives established a crime scene around the low-set brick home and searched the property and surrounding yards. Officers also blocked traffic on the Biddeston-Southbrook Rd.

Police forensic officers were expected to arrive at the scene early this morning.
It is believed the woman who discovered the bodies was the daughter of the dead man.
She had come to the property to collect belongings and check on the family's dogs.

It is believed the trio may have been dead for some time.
Biddeston Store owner Paul Farmer said the home owner was a nice chap who often volunteered to help around the community.
He said the man had mowed his lawn and was "just a quiet friendly guy".

Mr Farmer said the man had a large extended family who often visited and stayed.
