Is Bill Shorten ready to be Prime Minister?
PM Tony Abbott has taken to YouTube to reflect on the federal government's first 18 months in office.
PRIME Minister Tony Abbott's approval rating is up in the latest Newspoll, but Labor is still dominating on a two-party preferred basis.
For the 19th Newspoll in a row, Labor has maintained its two-party lead and is now in front of the Coalition 55 per cent to 45 per cent.
According to the latest survey, published by The Australian, the Government's primary support remains steady at 38 per cent, although well below its 45.6 per cent election result.
Labor is up one point at 39 per cent, the Greens remain at 12 per cent, and independents and minor parties have 11 per cent.
Meanwhile, satisfaction with Mr Abbott's performance, which has recently hit record lows, was given a three-point boost to 28 per cent.

The Prime Minister's dissatisfaction rating fell from the record-high of 68 per cent to 63 per cent, lifting his net satisfaction rating from -43 to -35 points.
Opposition Leader Bill Shorten's satisfaction rating also has risen, by four points to 39 per cent.
His dissatisfaction level dropped seven points to 42 per cent, giving him an overall satisfaction rating of -3 points.
