AFTER telling Oprah that an alleged miscarriage kept her from filming her doomed reality show, Lindsay Lohan has now told a judge that she needs more time in an ongoing lawsuit for the same reason.
According to RadarOnline, Lohan is named as a defendant in a lawsuit brought against her former leggings company, 6126 leggings, by former partners, DNAM Industries, LLC. DNAM served Lohan papers in the case "over the Christmas and New Year's holidays", according to papers obtained by the website, but she never responded and a court found her in default.
Realising she might get in a bit of trouble (again), Lohan told the judge that she needed more time to file her response due to her ongoing health issues.
"When I was in rehab, [my lawyer] was unable to contact me to discuss the case," Lohan reportedly said in the documents. "After I completed my 90 day program I moved back to New York."
And ever since, she wrote, "I have been overwhelmed since leaving rehab and dealing with my sobriety and a miscarriage."
The judge sympathised with Lohan, releasing her from default and allowing her to submit her response denying the plaintiff's claims. The documents also reveal that she plans to testify in her own defence.
As RadarOnline has reported, multiple sources insist that Lohan's miscarriage story was a ploy "to garner sympathy and explain unprofessional behaviour."
